چکیده
Abstract In many European countries, cemeteries are found to be suitable habitats for the proliferation of native and invasive mosquito species. The study aimed assess first time in Poland suitability urban larvae development water supply wells. From May September 2019 three Wroclaw (SW Poland), a total 757 inspection wells were carried out. development, expressed as general container index (GCI), differed between examined areas months study. highest GCI value was calculated Grabiszyński Bujwida (72.0 % 59.3 respectively). Larvae species identified all inspected breeding places during survey: Culex pipiens s.l. Linnaeus (95 %), Cx. torrentium Martini (4 Anopheles maculipennis Meigen (less than 1 %). No Aedes found. larval productivity peaked June, when average temperature reached 22.7 °C. Due likelihood establishment adaptation aedine Poland, constant analysis composition should continued.

Mosquito larvae (Diptera: Culicidae) in snow-melt pools in a Swedish Lapland area.
Culicid larvae were collected in snow-melt pools during the first half of June from 1975-1977 and 1995-1996 in the Abisko Valley, Torne Lapmark, northern Sweden. Twelve species were collected from 102 pools and 81 localities with 7,914 specimens (elevations from 300 to 650 m a.s.l.). Fourteen species are now known from the area. Ten types of larval habitats were classified and ten species were ...
متن کاملMicrobiological Analysis of Necrosols Collected from Urban Cemeteries in Poland
Decomposition of organic matter is the primary function in the soil ecosystem, which involves bacteria and fungi. Soil microbial content depends on many factors, and secondary biological and chemical contaminations change and affect environmental feedback. Little work has been done to estimate the microbiological risk for cemetery employees and visitors. The potential risk of infection for peop...

Several species of the family Culicidae are important vectors of diseases in humans and other animals. Immature stages are filter-feeders of organic particulate matter and microorganisms. Studies on microbial diversity can contribute to the discovery of new substances that can be used in the pharmaceutical industry for food or for biological control. The aim of this study was to isolate and ide...

Background: The expansion of herbicide used in aquatic ecosystems as well as in terrestrial if is not properly controlled may produce harmful effects on freshwater fisheries. Residue limits of these agricultural chemicals in tropical fishery waters should be established. The aim of this study was to determine the acute toxicity of butachlor and pertilachlor as potential dangerous herbicides to ...
